Attention!! Attention!! Please full view, if you don't you'll only see one of the nine muses
Completely inspired by *MisterIngo's Statues of the Past, when I saw them I immediatly thought of the muses and told him so, he in turn challenged me to create them.
If anyone knows who they are before reading on, bravo , i didn't even know there where 9
From left to right:
Euterpe: Muse of music, playing the flute Calliope: Muse of epic poetry, carries a writing tablet Clio: Muse of history, carries a scroll and has books by her pillar Erato: Muse lyric poetry, carries a lyre and has a crown of roses Melpomene: Muse of tragedy, carries a tragic mask Polyhymnia: Muse of sacred poetry, is seen with a pensive expression and carries a book Terpsichore: Muse of dancing, is seen dancing Thalia: Muse of comedy, carries a comic mask Urania: Muse of astronomy, carries jupiter, wears a crown of stars and has a telescope by her pillar.
I looked up each of them to see how i could portray them best. I tried to follow what I found, but on three of them I couldn't. Polyhymnia is said to have often been seen with a pensive expression (i couldn't imagine how hard it is to have an emote look pensive she probably took the longest of any of them), i finally got her looking somewhat pensive, but she looked just so empty compared to the others i gave her a book to hold. Terpsichore was dancing and also carried a lyre, since i already had Erato with one i decided to leave it out. Urania is often seen carrying a staff pointed at a celestial globe, but I also found a painting of her where she was sitting on the earth so i decided to have her hold jupiter. And made it more modern by adding a telescope.
The only one i really don't like is Terpsichore (dance) if anyone has any ideas, i'm entirely open to them!
Also please tell me which one you like the best and why (every person i've showed have each liked a different one, now i want to see which one you like )
Holy mother of God, vita-luna, what have you done?!! They're amazing, gorgeous, perfect, fabulous and dreamy. My faves are Erato, Urania and Clio, but Melpomene and Thalia are close seconds, especially when used together.
Terpsichore's hands and expression are perfect. How about adding a little tutu kind of thing around her waist? Nothing says muse of the dance like a tutu.

Great idea about the tutu!! so funny! i shall certainly try it!
I'm so glad you like them so much, i am certainly proud of them! i never thought static emotes could take longer the moving ones, but with all the research and trial and error, these where quite some task! I had a wonderful time doing them though!
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment and the fav
I'm not surprised at all that they were time-consuming to make. That kind of detail only comes with painstaking labour, like Persian carpets where beautiful designs are made from a million tinly little knots.
Thank you for making them and allowing FF to use them. They'll look so adorable next to Ingo's set.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
